At Hydromax, we are committed to providing high-quality pool and spa supplies. Due to the nature of the products we carry—such as hazardous chemicals, heavy equipment, and sensitive electrical components—we follow a strict return policy aligned with industry standards. Please review the details below before requesting a return.


1. General Return Window

  • Timeframe: Most new, unopened, and unused items may be returned within 30 days of the delivery date.

  • Authorization Required: All returns require a valid Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
    Returns sent without an RMA will be refused and returned at the customer’s expense.


2. Return Eligibility

To qualify for a refund, items must be:

  • In new, resellable condition

  • In the original manufacturer packaging, with all seals, labels, manuals, and accessories intact

  • Free from signs of installation, water exposure, or wear


3. Non-Returnable Items

For safety, regulatory, and quality assurance reasons, the following items are Final Sale:

Chemicals & Liquids

  • Pool chemicals, reagents, and any liquid products cannot be returned due to federal shipping regulations.

Electrical Equipment

  • Pumps, motors, heaters, circuit boards, chlorinators, and pool lights

  • These items cannot be returned if opened or if there are signs of installation

  • Note: These items are covered under the manufacturer’s warranty (see Section 6)

Custom or Special Orders

  • Items made or ordered specifically for your project (e.g., custom safety covers, custom vinyl liners)

Cut-to-Length Products

  • Hoses, tubing, or rope cut to customer-specified lengths


4. Restocking Fees

Return processing fees follow wholesale industry standards:

  • Standard Returns: A 20% restocking fee applies to all eligible non-defective returns

  • Commercial / Freight Items: Large equipment shipped via freight may incur a 25% restocking fee

  • Fee Waivers: Restocking fees are waived only when Hydromax is at fault (e.g., incorrect item shipped)


5. Shipping Costs

  • Return Shipping: The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable, insured carrier (UPS/FedEx).

  • Original Shipping: Outbound shipping charges are non-refundable.

  • Free Shipping Adjustment: If your order qualified for free shipping, the actual shipping cost we paid will be deducted from your refund.


6. Defective Items & Warranty Claims

Damaged on Arrival

  • If your order arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery or note the damage on the carrier’s receipt.

  • Concealed damage must be reported to Hydromax within 72 hours of delivery.

Manufacturer Warranty

  • Most equipment is covered directly by the manufacturer (e.g., Pentair, Hayward, Jandy).

  • If an item becomes defective after installation, you must contact the manufacturer to file a warranty claim.

  • Hydromax can provide proof of purchase to support your claim.


How to Request a Return

  1. Contact Us: Email support@gethydromax.com with your Order ID and reason for return.

  2. Receive RMA: If approved, we will issue an RMA number and provide the correct return address.

  3. Ship the Item: Clearly write the RMA number on the shipping label only (not on the product box).

  4. Refund Processing: Once the return is inspected and approved, refunds are issued within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.
